Having first aid training makes you more employable, gives you peace of mind when you need to respond to an emergency, and can help you reduce injuries in your workplace and home by up to 50%! Learn how to respond to emergencies, identifying how you can improve the situation by being creative with the tools available to you at the time. And enjoy the fact that our courses are hands-on, lead by dynamic and knowledgeable instructors who will have you engaged and enjoying the course whether it is your first time taking first aid training or your fiftieth time re-certifying.
Understanding CPR Levels:
CPR Level A = Focus on rescuing adults
CPR Level B = Focus on rescuing children and infants
CPR Level C = Focus on rescuing adults, children and infants, and how to work with a partner
CPR Level HCP = Focus on how to use a BVM (bag/valve/mask) when providing professional care with a partner
AED Training = Trained in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator
Note: We provide CPR Level C and AED training in our Standard and Emergency First Aid courses at no additional cost for the higher certification. To us, it just makes sense. Other levels are available upon request.

If you would like to offer larger classes, please speak with our Lead Facilitator regarding a new maximum limit. **Please Note: In order to book a re-certification course all participants must be able to provide proof of current full certification that was issued by the Canadian Red Cross. This covers emergencies that directly affect your airway, breathing and circulation. This includes choking, hyperventilation, asthma, anaphylaxis, angina, heart attacks, transient ischemic attacks, strokes, and deadly bleeding. CPR skills are focused on rescuing adults, children and infants and participants will learn how to use an automated external defibrillator. This course also covers emergencies affecting other parts of the body including spinal injuries, sprains and fractures, nosebleeds, knocked out teeth, impaled objects, eye injuries, sucking chest wounds, amputations, crush injuries, burns, diabetic shock, seizures, childbirth, hypothermia, heat stroke, bites, stings, and poisoning. |

Participants will learn how to check the scene for safety, call for help and care for the victim until advanced care arrives. Practice sessions are with professional manikins, AED training units, and BVMs (bag/valve/masks for level HCP) in order to provide the most effective hands-on learning experience possible. |
Babysitting Course *Please Note: For 25+ participants we provide additional instructors to maintain high program quality and instructor/participant communication. If you would like to offer larger classes, please speak with our Lead Facilitator regarding a new maximum limit. A great way to begin your career as a professional babysitter! Learn business skills, appropriate activities for children of all ages and stages, first aid skills for emergencies and much more. A great addition to your resume, this course will prepare you to meet babysitting challenges head-on and provide active care for children that will have parents calling you back again and again. This is also great 'home alone' training for youth caring for themselves after school or other occasions when their parents are out. Basic home security including phone calls and people at the door, how to respond to fires, and more will give both youth and their parents confidence. | |

Anaphylaxis Training Participants will learn how to recognize a deadly allergic reaction, respond to it calmly, as well as how to prevent emergencies from happening in the first place. Learn how to tell the difference between someone experiencing anaphylaxis and someone with a regular allergy or someone who is experiencing choking, hyperventilation or asthma. Learn how to use the tools available on the market to assist you in an emergency, both over the counter and prescription drugs, and discover why North Americans have such a high anaphylactic population (you can protect your child!), what allergens are most common, where to find them, and how to create policies that help make your facility or home safer for anaphylactic individuals. | |
Preventing the Spread of Disease Participants will also explore how commercial advertising and the media have lead us to fear germs and will learn how to be aware of germs rather than afraid of them. This workshop is ideal for students, the workplace, caregivers of young children (ex. a daycare or nursery), and anyone who has an interest in personal health and safety. | |
Injury Prevention For Seniors A walk through each room in the home reveals potential hazards and how to remove or reduce them. This course is geared towards those who are 60+ and those of any age who care about seeing senior family members and friends enjoy life to the fullest. |
